We are travelling down from Glasgow in May. We have booked a premier inn. Figured we would be using a taxi regardless where we stayed so booked this. It’s up beside a park in the town centre, cost us £37 for the night. We will go a walk down to the docks the night we arrive for a look as we will be so excited. It’s about a 25 min walk.

Lots of hotels right opposite the port and walking distance to West Quay shopping and leisure complex with lots of bars and restaurants, or Old part with traditional pubs.

Every year we stay at New Place, Sherrill Heath, before our cruise. It used to be a De Vere hotel but changed hands a couple of years ago. We think the food has improved since it changed hands.
We book their cruise package, which consists of bed, breakfast and evening meal. parking whilst on your cruise & taxi (not shared) too and from the port. I book the package over the phone, it's not always on their web site. The hotel is in a lovely quiet setting, with great grounds. Note you don't sleep in the main building. We find it's a great relaxing start to our holiday, plus we much prefer to drive down the day before.

We always stay at either Novotel or ibis, for celebrity and RCL that's usually right across the road so we can see our ship when we open the curtains in the morning.
We stayed one year at Jurys, would never stay there again, parking was horrific in a little underground car park with lots of unsavoury characters lurking about. |

We stayed at a premier inn on the outskirts of Southampton. And booked parking at triangle parking which is literally next door to the cruise terminal.
