I bought the Lakeland one as a christning gift when it came out
My sister has the one that was in my parents home for over 60 years and rightfully so As it was hand carved by one of our uncles for her first Christmas she was born November 11th My favourite memory of a nativity scene was+when I got a job as a manager in my first nursing home I couldn’t believe they didn’t have one me my mum sister and the olds we have here spent 3 days knitting one from a people’s friend ancient pattern and toilet roll tubes and Dad making a stable they still use it and I’ve knitted a fair few since I’ve also got a very tiny tree decoration one we bought on our honeymoon that goes on the memory corner on our tree |

I have seen a few that I really like but typically the ones I want are extremely expensive.
I have just shown my husband the stable I want and he is going to make it for me. I have seen sone lovely figures at a note reasonable price. Unfortunately won’t arrive in time for this Christmas though. |

This is mine, I've had it about 12-15 years, my children never liked it and to be honest I think I'm getting a bit fed up with it now too!
