How much for a man's haircut?
DH decided today he MUST get his haircut. I usually do it as he's completely wheelchair bound and access to barber's can be difficult.
Anyhow to cut a long story short a swift haircut in a salon cost £25! And it looked no different to when I do it! |

Men’s cut usually between £9 and £12 round our way, but up until last year, I had used the same guy for 30 odd years and got charged a fiver. That said last year or so, wife has become adept with the clippers so it’s a home barbers job.

At the barber is £13, at the salon £47
On the odd occasion DS has his done at the salon it does look amazing and he likes the head and shoulder massage 😆 The barbers do a crap job of it in all honesty. We have tried more than 1! He has very thick hair and a double crown. OH doesn’t have enough left to bother with a salon! Edited at 07:45 PM. |

Hubby pays £10.50 at a salon in our local Sainsbury’s. His old barber’s was a bit cheaper but as he didn’t take appointments hubby would sometimes be waiting for 45 minutes.
The lovely salon I go to charges £25+ for a man’s cut (wash, cut and finish). I don’t pay much more for mine! |

Most barbers I've used over the years generally give poor haircuts and I doubt many/any are trained, but just blag it.
My wife now cuts/clips my hairs as I was paying £15 with a tip, and often waiting ages in the barbers, and although my wife has no training, she does just a good job of it. We only paid £15 for the clippers and they have more than paid for themselves. |

I pay £20 at my barbers but that's for a cut, beard trim and finish with a cut throat shave/line up. He only takes bookings through a phone app so your never waiting around and he makes a decent espresso.
