A cold Christmas in Orlando
We have had many a Christmas and new year in Florida but that’s one of the coldest I have ever seen, would rather still be there though 😭
27 to 12 overnight that will be a shock, Boxing Day would have had to be moved, we should have been at discovery cove😕 |

At least it's still warmer than the UK. Three years ago I was out there in mid December time and I had to scrap the ice off the car windscreen in Highlands Reserve.

We were there last year for Christmas and it was quite similar. One day I even had to put jeans and a sweater on. Thankfully the next day we were back in shorts and t-shirts! Didn’t stop DS from swimming in the pool.

We were out there in similar conditions 10 years ago. Not quite so cold as the U.K. tho. We were feeling quite smug till our neighbour messaged us to say that we had burst pipes. Ah well, we ended up with a new kitchen, bathroom and tiled floors after having to rip out the old laminate because of the water damage.

We were out there many years ago at Christmas, it was freezing literally. All the flowers etc. were covered with protective sheets in all the Disney Parks, they even had snow for the first time in years in the northern part of the State.
ETA Just Googled it, it was 1989!

Just looking back over my photos, we have been very lucky!
We have managed Boxing Day discovery cove 6 times in the last 10 years and we look quite warm in the photos! Whatever the weather, we’re missing it move than ever. |

OP. Sad to hear you lost your trip.
I must say a mid November to mid March trip holds no interest to me at all. Must have heat.
