Just a heads up, City walk in LA closes quite early, around 9pm if memory serves me correctly, and is not the same night time experience you get in Florida.

We also enjoyed Mels Diner / drive in For breakfast. It was a great American diner.
Californian pizza kitchen across from the Lowes was good too.

Griddle cafe. You'd probably need to Uber there as it's on Sunset but the food is great. Fairly cheap for the amount of food too. The pancakes are larger than the dinner plate they're served on and you get 3 of them. Between two of us we ate a quarter of the pancakes.

We always get there around opening when it's only just about getting to capacity. At the times we've been it's only ever been locals and us.
