T-7 sleeps. Are We Really Doing This?

Well here we are. T-7 sleeps and counting...

There were many reasons that this trip nearly didn't happen but those stories are probably best saved for another time!

It's really happening, just the two of us, no kids, no dog, no agenda... Ok, so that last one was a bit of a fib. We do have an agenda. We plan on making the most of every single minute of this trip.

It's our first trip without the kids (that doesn't involve work, visiting family or a snatched weekend to escape).

Can you tell we are just a little bit excited? Ok, read ‘a lot!' and you are perhaps getting a little bit closer!

For the record, we are very excited!

Why I hear you ask... we have 5 teenagers. Yep, you read that right. F.I.V.E! And we are leaving them at home, with the dog! He's very cute and we are going to miss him.

The photo is of Teddy, he's the dog! Love him to bits and we are really going to miss him. He's just turned one and is not in the slightest bit spoilt.

I jest, the kids are my world 🌎. Gonna miss them too. I've only just stopped feeling guilty about taking this trip.

This was us on our most recent trip to the sunshine state. A lot has happened since then and that is part of the reason for taking this trip.

Did I say it was just the two of us? Without the kids and the dog...

So where are we going?

We are flying from Heathrow

We are flying with Virgin

We are flying First Class

I did say we plan on making the most out of this trip...

We are not going to the sunshine state. (I couldn't bring myself to book a trip to ‘my happy place' without the kids).

We are however headed to the US of A.

My favourite movie is Miracle on 34th Street.
