Something special at Universal/IOA

Having been to Orlando ten times I'm aware of the special extras that Disney offers, eg character breakfast. Is it possible to do something special at Universal/IOA? I can't remember ever seeing anything but if they offer something please can you let me know? My dad is taking my little brother in May and wants to arrange some nice surprises for him. He's going to book a character breakfast and pirate dress up at Disney but is also hoping to do something at Universal.

Universal do a superstar character breakfast as well. See the following for details:
universalorlando/Rest...Breakfast.aspx

They also do VIP tours:
universalorlando/Them...Vip-Tours.aspx

And, if Harry Potter is your thing, they do a Harry Potter vacation package:
universalorlando/Vaca...ry-Potter.aspx

Otherwise, I think that's it. Sadly, not quite as diverse as Disney's special offerings.

Thank you so much for responding. With regards to the breakfast, I suppose it's just pot luck which characters are there? My brother loves Spider-Man, do you know if he is usually there?

Sorry, I have never been to the character breakfast and so don't know.

hopefully, someone else who has done this can advise.

I do know that you can meet and greet Spider-man in the Islands of Adventure park if you don't see him at the breakfast.
