Mobile New area for Wishes preferred viewing?

Received a letter today with our voucher and advising of a change of location. Has anyone else had this? Is the new position better?

Hi We did the new preferred Wishes location while we were there at the beginning of May and IMO there are pros and cons.

Pros - more room to move around as not as many people there so less crowded.

Cons - you are standing on the grass area to the right hand side of the castle and there is a huge tree in front of you that blocks the lower half of the castle. I personally preferred to stand directly in front of the castle but this was more crowded

Photo from the viewing area -
we stood as far left as we could to try and avoid the tree

Also the fireworks were off to the side as opposed to directly over the castle from this view point. Again I preferred the central view with the fireworks over the castle. Just my opinion tho

Yes you go and sit on the grass in the rose garden to the right of the hub.
Pros are you can sit down and are not squashed. I really liked it.
Cons are you are not central to the castle or fireworks.

We had fp for msep then moved to the rose garden after when we saw the masses of people coming towards us.

Is this the fastpass area?

Trying to work out whether its worth using one of our fast passes for it or not as with a 3 year old I want it to be the least hectic it can be but obviously need to see wishes!

The other option would be the dessert party but they seem to be like gold dust so I wouldn't be able to get a reservation

Yes, fastpass and preferred viewing are the same area. We liked it for the kids, more space and much calmer.

We used a Fastpass on it and I thought it was lovely. Yes there's a tree but as you can see it really doesn't obscure the viewing too much. We filmed all celebrate the magic and wishes and the view was great plus we were sat down on the grass away from all the masses outside.

Phone the reservations number at the 60day mark for dessert party quite a number of us have been more successful at that point. Not sure if they only release then or if they hold some back.
