Wow I’m so impressed with your holiday savings...and very envious of your upper class seats!
How do you manage to earn so many air miles? Have a magical time! |

Thank you - it’s almost like a hobby!
Most of my air miles come from credit cards (both the VA card and churning the Amex gold every 6 months), then Tesco Clubcard, Shops Away... none from actually flying anywhere 🙈

It looks like you have an awesome trip planned. Like you I'm gutted that Mickey is no longer talking in MK, so was DD when I told her. We have a great photo of her from 2016, she was really surprised that he talked to her and the photopass photographer got a great shot of her face.
I'm glad your FP all worked out. Not long now for all of us, I hope you have a totally magical time!

Universal Bookings (finally!)
So things we have now got booked: Universal tickets. Managed to get 2 adults, 2 children for £832 with Floridatix. Was happy with these price having dithered about buying etc.. and am particularly pleased having seen the recent price increase Universal hotel. FINALLY the prices dropped by about £100 for RPR and I went ahead and converted my £145 of Tesco Clubcard Vouchers into Hotels.com vouchers. We got the hotel for £688 - £435 vouchers, so paid £253 for the 3 nights there. It's a great deal with Tesco I think we are nearly all sorted now. Bought all the suncreams, the clothes, all the extra bits that I hadn't really accounted for but definitely need... The kids have their clothes sorted and we've tried to 'theme' them to some of their favourite attractions / characters / restaurants. These are a few examples : Travel Day: Animal Kingdom inc. Tusker House: Disney Springs inc. T-Rex Cafe: Epcot inc. Baymax meet: Hollywood Studios: Pool Day at Yacht Club: Animal Kingdom inc. Sanaa: Universal (protest tshirt ): Islands of Adventure: Travel Home : The Disney documents pack arrived today and we've all picked our luggage tags. We are sooooo excited. 3 weeks today we will packing up to head to the airport. As much as I'm excited the nerves and anxiety are starting to creep in (as usual ). It's so much planning, it's so much expectation, it's so much money I worry that the kids will break something, I worry we'll get a sickness bug, I worry there will be some awful reason that we can't go on our wonderful holiday. Perhaps it's just me as I am a worrier by nature but this is the final bit of the countdown I hate. Come on 18th August. Let's get to the airport and get ready for our wonderful family holiday!

I love that you even have a themed 'flying home' t-shirt - that is serious commitment!
Hope the next few weeks fly by smoothly for you. I keep getting flashes of panic about the amount of money we'll be spending so I totally understand your worries. It'll be worth it once you're there! |
