The secret trip to see the mouse house 2018

Hi everyone, it’s been forever since I’ve been on the DIBB or wrote a trip report. For some reason I can only use the site on my 4G (any ideas how to fix it then I’d be extremely grateful) anyway I digress lol

I am SJ (aged 33) will be traveling with my hubby and two children who are now 7 and 3.. we last went to Orlando May 2016 and have been planning this trip since we got back. We booked at over 430 + days (insert shocked face)

Since our last trip report we’ve had major changes and we now live abroad due to my husbands work. Created somewhat of a logistical nightmare as we booked flights before the move.

We are now flying from Bucharest to London to Glasgow and back to London before our Orlando flight. Omg I hear you say, thankfully on the return flight we have managed to ditch the Glasgow flight. We are flying into the UK the day before we leave though and staying at the airport hotel (holiday inn express) room including breakfast is Ł113 for 4 of us.

We booked a villa from one of the well known Facebook pages staying at Calabay Parc 4 adults and 2 children with pool heat Ł1640 for 14 nights in a 4 bed villa with games room and hot tub.

We booked flights with British Airways 2 adults and 2 children Ł1498

For our car hire we used a broker called Andy from Orlando discount car hire Ł333 full size Alamo and already checked in and can skip the desk. This is my favourite thing to always advise people after a long flight to skip the hard sell at the desk.

We are only going to Disney parks this time so bought direct from Disney; 14 day for 7 ultimate ticket Ł1420 for 2 adult tickets and 2 children’s tickets.

The big thing about this trip is neither of the children know we are going to Orlando. It’s been a long 430+ days of keeping this secret and to stop the grandparents from keeping dropping the F word into conversations. So many times they have almost gave the game away. (Eye roll) they are also joining us for this vacation (wohoo free babysitters for copious amount of child free date nights lol) Epcot food and Wine festival is on during our trip and I plan to enjoy this. The kids are under the impression our trip is to London. We are planning a reveal the night before at dinner or maybe at breakfast at the hotel we haven’t quite decided. I’ve ordered t shirts from fairytale sparkle with their names on and also on the back “we’re going to Walt Disney world 2018” going to make up a gift bag with Disney items and their t shirts and get them to read a card I’ll write for them. Hope it’s not a fail after all this planning.

I have arranged for fairytale personal shopper to hold packages for us and this will be delivered to the villa management company to the villa for our arrival. The kids have gift tubs with balloons and magic bands and I’ve ordered decals from my fantasy bands to decorate them.

We leave in 14 days.. wish me luck and thanks for reading

Wow your reveal will be fabulous and your kids are perfect ages. Even more lovely that their grandparents are going.
Good luck with your flights on the way out but at least you're overnight in London prior to the Florida flight.

I think my son will be very excited as he hasn’t been for a while and is under the impression we wouldn’t be going back and my youngest was only 10 months when we last went so this trip he will remember, I can’t wait to see his little face light up.
