DisneyLand park is part of Disneyland resort in Anaheim Califorinia. Disneyland no longer technically exists, but is still used by people to reference the original park.
DisneyLand Paris consists of 2 parks DisneyLand Park and Walt Disney Studios park.
Walt Disney World Resort is the name for the enity which covers Magic Kingdom etc in florida.

So if people want to get upset about names people use we should all stop using WDW and use WDWR instead.

For me it will always be mgm. And Euro Disney
Disney springs I can say, even though I've been going since Disney village marketplace, and downtown Disney
But Disneyland Florida drives me crazy

There are certain other threads here on the DIBB about a certain something happening here in the UK over the last 3 years where that has happened, yes.

Anyway, back on topic...

I often see people say that they are planning on visiting Disney, Universal, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom (or something similar). I think they equate "Disney" with Magic Kingdom. And, yes, it is mildly annoying.

Disney themselves seem to be quite happy to call it Walt Disney World:

(And, just to be pedantic, "Walt Disney World" is the registered trademark; "Walt Disney World Resort" is not)

No one is actually upset about people calling these things the wrong name. It's just a little bit amusing and a little bit annoying, all in one. That's all.

Unlike you to be pedantic, Nimbus

I did think that I probably didn't need to add "just to be pedantic", but some people in this thread may not know how annoying I am.
