Question long time no see...

Hi Everyone,

it's been a while since I have been on here as I find it very hard being part of the Dibb community when im not able to go and have no countdown...… I forgot how to use the site...

I finally have a countdown but its over a year away yet! We both turn 50 next year and neither me nor my DH wanted a party, we would rather have a fab holiday. AS our DD has special needs she is always with us too. So we go in early November for 8 nights in a villa in Emerald Island and then we drive over to Cape Canaveral for a 6 night cruise to the Caribbean.

I had maps on a SD card to put in my sat nav for driving over there but the last time we went (a few years ago) it kept going wrong as I think it was out dated and with DD as she is stress is always there so I want to try to minimise stress over driving? What do you all do these days out there? If it helps im on BT mobile with 3GB data but that wont be relevant in USA for google maps...

We will get the car from Orlando Airport and leave it at the Cruise port. We then need to figure out how to get back to the airport, so has anyone done this before and have some tips or ideas for us?

Thanks, xx

I have a mobile on the 3 network so just use Google maps as I'm using my UK data allowance.

Our car this year had car play and as I have EE Max plan we just connected my iphone to the car and google maps came up on the screen. It was so easy.

I downloaded an app before we left, I believe it was NavFree? Or something like that, worked reasonably well and didn’t use any data at all once you’d done the initial download (which you can do at home)

What phone do you have? Just download an app with the latest maps.

You can also do offline maps in Google maps for example before you go.

Download the navigator free app and install the maps for the states you want. play.google/store/apps/d...ctor.navigator

You can add points of interest and you won't need any data whilst using it for navigation.

Are you on a Disney Cruise, if so you could book the Disney cruise line bus, or maybe hire a car for the journey back depending on price.
