Star wars at hollywood studios

We went to the stars wars weekend last year as our DS managed to do the jedi training and got to fight a different character. We got there at about 8.45 when the opening time was advertised at 9.00 but the park was already open and there was a large queue to sign up for the jedi training but our DS just managed to get in for a 2pm slot because he was on his own but the others with 2 or 3 children were then at the end of the day.

So I would suggest getting there well before park opening and go straight to jedi training to sign him up. He needs to be with you. Me and DS went straight there and DH went to get TSM fast passes.

I queued up for the exclusive shop selling all the pins,figures etc to get an exclusive Star Wars Disney figure, after 2 hours I got to the store front only to be told it would be at least another hour! I had to leave the queue as DW didn't know I was queing and she didn't have mobile. It took a while to find each other as I am sure you can imagine!

We went last year, it was a lot of fun, the prk does get very busy though. Remember you can get autographs for some of the stars (varies weekend to weekend) but you will need to get a fast pass first thing in the morning- they're given out just outside the main gate.

We also went in may 2010 but got there at 8.30 we were at the front of the rope drop and for the first couple of hours it was ok got busy in the afternoon but we just came out for something to eat then went back in
the trick is to get there early, we will be going again this year but going twice once when star wars is not on and once on our last day for star wars don't miss it it is great! .
