Flying to Orlando

This thread has been automatically created, because the original thread had over 500 posts.

The original thread was located HERE.

The first post was...

Hi everyone,

I've posted something similar to this in chat and news but thought I'd also post in here as most people will be flying to Orlando reading this forum.

I've been a pilot for *cough* years now first with Thomas Cook now with Virgin Atlantic and am offering people the chance to ask anything they want about their flight to see if I can answer your questions.

I can't let you know About your flight seats, meals IFE etc. they're operations, but anything else regarding for flight, just ask away.

Cheers all.
Please feel free to carry on...

I think it's subjective. Some people think so and prefer nearer the front but to be honest there's no definite evidence either way.

Is turbulence ever dangerous? It really scares me especially when it feels like the plane 'drops'!

On very rare occasions it can be more than expected but buckle up and keep those seat belts on you'll be fine. Aircraft can take more turbulence than humans anyway.

This thread is fab. I found it invaluable when we went to Florida last June. I was really nervous beforehand and started to have sleepless nights. I still can't believe how calm I felt during the flight, usually I'm a bag of nerves!

I'm sad about this, lol, as we are flying VS075 in May, it would have been fab to have you flying us to Orlando!

Also, nice to see how long your thread has gone on for, it's become a DIBB staple, so thanks for starting it up and keeping it going. Fame at last, eh?
