Virgin via Netflights

Hi all ,

The price for my flights in May 2020 have dropped today and are even cheaper through Netflights, my only query is that when I'm viewing the different fares, it says their Economy Classic has seat choice at check in. I though with this fare you usually get to choose your seats as soon as you have confirmation or is this different when booking through a third party?

Sorry if this is a little long winded!

Economy classic will let you select seats as soon as you have the airline reference from the TA

Yep even with netflights as long as you book the economy classic fare, you will be able to book your seats as soon as you have your flight confirmation number.

Do you mind me asking what dates you are going? I have been checking daily for 16th-30th or 17th-31st May. Had a bit of excitement couple of days ago when the price looked like it had dropped to approx. £1400 for 2a & 2c with Virgin - got all the way to payment page, having chosen seats, and then the system fell over and when I tried to get back on prices had gone back up - think there must have been a glitch. They are back up to around the £2000 mark and about £1800 with BA. Am hoping if I am patient for another couple of weeks or so they will come down a bit more. Am I right in thinking that Aug/Sept time tends to offer best prices for following May?

I'm looking at 8th-22nd so it may be that the prices for your dates start going down in the next week or so!

We booked virgin flights for June through skyscanner, takes you to netflights but for some reason it's cheaper than virgin or netflights direct. Got our booking ref via email within minutes then logged into my booking on virgin website and chose seats.

We've used them the last few times we've travelled. Almost as soon as you book you'll get a confirmation email which gives you what you need to book seats

We've booked our November Delta (Virgin) flights with them this morning, confirmation came through within an hour and we were able to book our seats with Virgin. Excellent price too!
