Mobile Car warranty advice please

So I bought a car three weeks ago, 2016 plate and it’s done 18000 miles but up to date service . Yesterday a warning light came on saying check anti pollution system - it has a three month warranty when I purchased car so obviously I am taking it back . I was wondering if they fix it and the problem reoccurs after the three months has passed are they still obliged to fix it as it’s a continuation of first fault ? I seemed to be jinxed by reoccurring engine light problems with my cars that get fixed and then happen again . Didn’t expect it to happen again with a fairly new car!

Probably not unless they are offering any sort of warrenty on the work completed. Once the date has passed its passed.

If it’s a diesel and it’s the dpf it won’t be covered by the warranty. Try a long run on the motorway at 70 mph for 20 miles in a lower gear than normal that could work.

thank you all I will have a read - its not a diesel , my last two cars were diesel and had lots of problems so I decided to go for a smaller engine car more suited for town driving and this happened! Hopefully its a one off and they will fix it.
