Steve bough one in Bestbuy and the only "con" is that you'll need a plug adaptor to plug the 2 pin USA plug into a UK one.

We have purchased 3 iPads on separate trips. Saved £50-£70 each one.

We got an Apple IPad from the Apple store. Great value compared to over here. No probs, just set it up as usual.

Bought DD one in 2012 and had no problems with it. Just needed an adapter for the plug. It is a Samsung so bought it from Walmart so if we had any problems we could take it to Asda over here.

Just adding, check out the Sunday paper and look at all the fliers to see what deals are around, if you're not fussed about a particular make / model you could pick up a bargain.

I looked into this and you can't do that anymore. Samsung won't guarantee any of its products bought in the US outside of the US so if there are problems you have to send it back to the USA
The saving is worth the risk for me tho

I don't know if it counts but we bought a Kindle Fire there a few years ago at Best Buy. We just charge it with one of our other kindle chargers or by USB. I was going to get a Samsung Galaxy Tab there too but John Lewis had a 2 year guarantee plus Samsung were doing a £50 cashback deal on them before we went so we got it from JL as it worked out cheaper.

I bought my iPad in Walmart 2 years ago and all I needed was an adapter for the plug. Makes no difference to Apple where you buy. I do have to say though it was only cos there was an offer on, otherwise these days the prices aren't much different
