$17 just to park a car !

Well we have had 5 wonderful holidays in Orlando but feel absolutly so annoyed about the price of parking at the parks.!
We all pay so much for the tickets and then are charged $17 a day parking ! At least universal reduce this to $6.00 after 6pm, we went to magic kingdom at 7.30 pm to watch the fireworks (used a full day ticket by choice ) and was still charged for a full day ! Oh my Im so glad our theme park days are nearly done !
It is not fair on all those young families that are saving up so hard to go there ! dISNEY and UNIVERSAL please alter your car parking prices !
THANK YOU. X

Yeah totally agree. When you consider what you're paying to get in the parks I'm of the opinion it should be free parking.

I echo the above. It's a lot of money on top of all your spends for tickets.

I agree also, it's an awful lot of money on top of whats already an expensive holiday & one of the reasons we don't usually drive to the parks

We have just come back from England and apart from the Supermarkets I don't think we went to a single place were you didn't gave to pay for parking. All the National Trust properties, the heritage railways, etc. What the difference?

Two points - land taxes are high in Florida thus they charge to cover that. What they charge for park entry covers costs of running the parks. It's all separate departments. They also provide assistance if you forget where you parked / you car won't start / security etc.
People who get to Disney without a car don't pay a car parking fee and it would be unfair to put extra on them to subsidise those who do have a car.

Try Seattle, San Francisco or Los Angeles, New York where parking is as much as $52 a night.

I thinkthat a "season ticket" might be fairer but there is no way that parking will ever be free. I'm fully expecting them to start charging at the new multi storey car parks at DTD.

We all have a choice.
The costs are all available in advance so we all know exactly how much it costs.
No point in complaining. They are a business and we all choose to spend our money with them. No one forces us to go.

We are all adults and can make decisions so why complain? Don't like it - you can choose not to go.

You can't blame a company who's only aim is to make money (like any other business) for trying to make a profit. That is what they do - nothing else.

I agree, look how brilliant they were when a fellow DIBBers car caught fire recently during a thunder storm at Epcot.
