Advice from you lovely DVC Dibbers...

Staying at SSR for 3 weeks next year to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary (and hubby's birthday just after we arrive home ).
Will definitely be dining at a signature restaurant for our anniversary meal (not decided yet which it will be) and would love to surprise hubby with a night in one of the deluxe hotels.
Can anyone advise how many points we would need for one night stay at one of the following:
BWV, BCV, BLT, GFV, WLV
Staying Tuesday 7th July 2015
Many thanks in advance for your help

If you look at the menu on the right there is an option called 'DVD calculator' You can use this to put your dates in and see how many points you need for the different rooms in all the resorts

Keep in mind that if you are only staying for 1 night you probably won't be in the room until at least 4pm and will have to check out on time the following morning. DVC units run at nearly 100% occupancy so some days we haven't had a room until after 5 (of course there are always exceptions). I would hate for you to make plans, only to find you can't get into your room.

If it's just for dinner and sleeping then 1 night will be lovely, we gave friends of ours 1 night at AKL for a wedding present and they loved it. If you want to enjoy the resort, then 1 night won't give you that.

You'll love those resorts in comparison to SSR, they're world's apart imo.

I definitely would suggest a second night if you can, here's why:

You will only get your room at 4pm and must be out by 11am in the morning. That gives you 19 hours (some of which you'll be sleeping)

For double the cost (ie two nights' accommodation) you get an extra 24 hours on top of that, ie 19 hours plus 24 = 43 hours.

So you get more than double the room time for only double the price.

Plus, there is something psychologically nice about having a "whole" day there not checking in or out
