Mobile Will I need car seats or boosters?

Hi,

Just wondering if I will need to purchase or take car seats/boosters for my children? They are 11 and 7? I can take their boosters with me but not sure how they go..in luggage or separate?

Thank you

We always take a booster for our ds10. We buy a cheap one and pack it in the luggage on the way out and just leave it in the rental car when we return it at the airport. Cheaper than renting one and peace of mind that they still have a decent seat, also more room for shopping to bring home!

Use what you use at home, my 7 year old is still in a high back, will use the same over there. Can take it for free with the luggage

I agree, use same as at home. If 11yr old average height, prob won't need one. My 8 yr old ds is small for his age and still in a high back one

I take our DD’s high back one from home, it’s free and I’d rather make sure she’s as safe as possible!

Under Florida state law your children don’t need to be restrained in a car seat (5 and under only)

That being said if I had a car seat at home I would certainly use one in Florida.

However ANY car seat taken from the UK will not be Federally approved and therefore will not meet Florida state law, but as your children don’t “legally” need to be in a car seat I can’t see that it would really matter.
