Discovery cove for solo travellers
Has anybody been to discovery cove as a solo traveller?
How was the experience ? Was it worth the money? Thinking about it for this year but don't want to feel stupid going alone Any advice or tips. I know that a lot of couples and families visit, but never see/read much about the solo traveller visiting. Thanks

No one would ever suspect you are on your own as you see people wandering around on their own all the time. I think you would love it. You get people doing the dolphin swim on their own too as their partners can do it because of kids etc. I went swimming around the lazy river by myself as kids were with their dad in the snorkelling pool which is too cold for me.I would go for it.

I agree, we all enjoyed a good deal of 'me time' off on our own at Discovery cove. Snorkelling is not really a communal activity. We all tend to go off doing our own thing in the reef pool. We have been a couple of times and only done the dolphin swim once. It isn't necessary there are some lovely spots where you can sit with a drink and watch the dolphins without paying the extra. Like PP said I'm sure there are plenty of people who do the dolphin swim solo. You will love it

I did it on my own a couple of years ago and the only downside was that the weather wasn't great that day. But its a lovely chill out day, relaxing, swimming and reading - make sure you take a book/kindle/magazine or something.
