Trying for More Ears

Hello all
Hello all dibbers, fairly new to this site and have only posted once but I'm struggling with all the jargon so could someone please explain what all the abbreviations actually mean, for example "dd" "ds" etc etc. Thanks all

Hi and welcome to the Dibb, first timers how exciting. Happy planning, my tip is, plan a little or a lot it’s up to you, don’t think you have to be regimental in your planning. Enjoy the planning but don’t let it over face you, most of all enjoy your holiday

Hello and welcome!
From being on other forums one thing that gets used a lot these days is 'dear' when referring to family, so DH is dear husband, DC is dear child, DD and DS for dear daughter and dear son. It takes a while but you learn to just read the last letter to see who they're talking about! Unfortunately the same ones can be used for more than one person because DS is sometimes used for dear sister (although some use DSis). I have no idea why! Many of the other abbreviations tend to be Disney/Universal/holiday related, DS can also be Disney Studios or Disney Springs! I think these were meant to make life easier in the first place, but often you have to read a thread a few times to work out what's being talked about. :-) |
