Uber or Lyft

Who do you recommend for the occasional trip to/from restaurants, Discovery Cove and Universal?

We always use Uber, simply because I'd been using it in the UK when in cities where they operate for some time.

I keep meaning to put Lyft on my phone so if the wait for an Uber is lengthy at any point in time, I could see if Lyft might be any quicker.

we've used both in Florida and slightly prefer Lyft. The cars were slightly better and their drivers seemed more knowledgable of the area.

A lot drive for both, when we got in uber last time he turned off his lyft phone.

Thanks, I'll probably just download both. Looking at estimates, Lyft seems slightly cheaper. Is that usually the case or is it dependent on journey?

I asked the same question last year when one of our drivers worked for both Lyft and Uber. I was told that Uber was cheaper for short journeys and Lyft cheaper for anything over 20 minutes. I just went with his advice but didn't do a price comparison to confirm.
He also added that he gets paid better rates by Lyft so this may be a consideration.
I found both services equally as good.

We used Lyft in Vegas last year, and previously always Uber but with the bad publicity and their business ethics lately, I’ll continue with lyft next time

From my experience last August, Lyft was usually cheaper. Not by much but still

I’d recommend Lyft over Uber as the full fare is agreed with Lyft before you order it

If you get discount codes for both, use them (for each adult in the party)
