Alamo booking and flight change

I've booked car hire with Alamo Brits for October & got a pretty good deal (£380 for an intermediate SUV for 16 days).

The pick up and drop off time is 20:30 as we had indirect flights booked with Virgin via Atlanta on the way in and this was roughly the arrival time of the flight into MCO (the flight back via JFK is around 14:50 so no problem dropping the car off early at MCO on the way home)

Anyway, I received an email from Virgin on Saturday to say that our flight times had changed and we'd miss the connection so they've put us on a direct flight to MCO which lands at approx 14:05 - even if the immigration hall is a nightmare and it's very full, we're still going to be early for pick up. Is this going to be a problem as far as Alamo are concerned? I was planning on doing online check-in and skip the counter anyway. I've not paid for the car hire yet (payment on arrival). I don't want to cancel the booking as i've done a dummy booking and the price is now double. Does anyone have any experience of this?

just leave it as it is

you'll be fine picking up at 3pm (or whatever time you need to clear immigration at MCO)

the time you pick up will be the time your rental starts, so if you pick up at 3PM you'll need to drop off before 3PM on your last day (which will not be an issue since your flight back is at 2:50pm

happens loads of time, don't worry, don't change a thing
just double check the rental agreement at the gate, and make sure it doesn't include extra charges (other than fuel, satnav, child seat if you chose to add them)

Thanks for this. I'll leave things as they are then 😉
