OP, there’s also a castle at Criccieth which is about 4 miles down the road and there’s a great fish and chip shop there too, if you need any recommendations on where to eat out just ask x

Castle fish and chips in Criccieth, or Allports in Pwllheli both are very good x

Learn something new every day... Didn't realise that this was the old Butlins site.

Been there before back in early 90's when they still had the fair / Boomerang rollercoaster!

Always used to pass this site on the coach to the youth camp about a mile down the road!

Only 4 weeks till we go!

Thanks for all your replies , we had a great time despite the weather.
It's a huge site but luckily we were placed in a caravan very close to the main facilities.
Just a bit to far for us to return but would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Doesn't quite beat Seashore as our favourite Haven but a close 2nd.

I been there twice when it was Butlin’s in 1994 and 96 and twice as Haven in 2003 and 06. When we went last there was still quite of bits left from the Butlin’s days but seeing videos of it now it’s had a big upgrade with new pool and entertainment venues.
