Westward Ho!

Hi dibbers

We are on our way for a week to westward Ho! We’ve rented a dog friendly house and Lola our one year old puppy is coming with us.

I’ve never been to Devon before so can any one recommend places to see and go to x we have a car so can drive around.

Any places of interests?

TIA

Hi, we’ve just been to the Devon/Cornwall area for a few days, with our dog. He loved it, as well as Wedtesrd Ho, we went to Croyde ate at the Thatched Inn, good food and very dog friendly and to Bude, we ate at the Preston Gate Inn at Poughill, again good food and dog friendly. Have a great time.

Location: North Devon
RHS Rosemoor Gardens

Beaches... Instow, Croyde, Saunton Sands, Woolacombe

Clovelly

Exmoor, nice for walks with Lola

If I can think of anything else I will add to list.

Just be careful on the Link Road, major works still being done and speed traps! This is nearer the Barnstaple end

Tea on the Green for cakes to die for! Morans Thai restaurant do a great take away set meal which we find does 3 of us for 2 nights with 1 extra dish. Appledore has some nice shops and deli (we were married in Appledore) If the Hockins ice cream van is back that is a must too, it wasn't there in Feb when we visited for half term. You will need to do some long walks to work it all off! There is a great little factory outlet just up the road (Atlantic Village) for a bit of retail therapy, good for surf stuff like salt rock. Enjoy
