Daytona Speedway Tour

DH wants to visit Daytona this summer, purely to go to Buc-ees!

I thought that since we'll be in the area we could try the Speedway Tour. None of us are particular fans of speedway but it looks quite interesting. Has anyone done it? Would you recommend it?

It's not speedway (on bikes)as we know it.
Daytona is a huge oval race track.
It's an American icon.
It holds nascar, indycar . A 12 hour endurance race for le man's cars. A large bike meeting. Etc etc. Not done it but its on my list. They also do track rides etc in nascars.
Its an institution.

Haven’t done it, but will be to keep DH happy while I go to Buc-ees!

If you don’t want to do the tour, maybe Daytona beach or if the budget allows doing a drive along at the speedway (which looks amazing but quite scary) might be a better justification of driving out there to get beaver nuggets and brisket! (And I say this as someone who is also going to go to St Augustine to go to Buc-ees there and booked a tour to justify the trip, when I only want to go to get a Buc-ees bikini &#128514

We did this 2 years ago and it was a brilliant day. You get a full tour of the circuit, pit area and into the museum at the end. Nigel Mansells race suit and helmet is there.

It’s a very nice relaxing day and 100% worth it.

I’ll try to upload a few images

We have done the tour, it was great fun. We aren’t fans of that kind of racing but it was interesting without being too long and boring. The best bit was going out on to the track it was brilliant fun
