Westfield London

We are hoping to get up to Westfield London for a shopping trip. Can anyone recommend a hotel thatís a little way out so has parking but around a 15 minute drive to the mall? Thanks

Absolutely no need to drive and I wouldnít bother, traffic in that area is crazy and the tube station is right there, plus loads of buses.

Shepherds Bush is a bit of a dump. Maybe stay in Ealing or Notting Hill Gate near the Central Line?

The other Westfield (Stratford) is different in my opinion. I certainly could spend hours there. Thereís a Premier Inn on site. Depends on the type of shopping you want to do and thereís voluminous parking (probably best to look at the casino for late exit and entrance). Connections from here are excellent. Central line straight to Covent Garden (Holborn) and Oxford Street or the Jubilee line to Bond Street (for one example) or the DLR for Canary Wharf and a different vibe all together.

PS: remember to research the congestion zone and donít forget to pay! 😉

Thank you for the recommendations. We are happy to use the tube!

Ok so is this the one I want I wonder? I saw the one that has a Cinnabon!
We are happy with the tube as after recommendations here, we enjoy staying in Kew Gardens and getting the tube into central london.

I believe we are ok with the ULEZ as we were in the zone at Kew?

Edited to add: they both have a Cinnabon so that doesnít help!

What are your opinions on either?

Not sure if its the 'best' but the Stratford seems bigger to me so probably a better / bigger selection of shops. ?

Only begrudgingly visited both in my capacity as official bag carrier/payer so my opinion probably a bit tainted

Have been to both many times.

Westfield London (Shepherds Bush) is the larger of the two (largest shopping mall in Europe apparently) and is generally considered to be a little more upmarket than Stratford. It's laid out with lots of space so never really feels busy.

Stratford is newer (built just before the Olympics in 2012) and has less spacious walkways so can feel crowded at peak times. As it's more compact it's quicker to get around (when not busy).

Not really a lot in it unless you after a specific shop. Both easy to get via tube or Elizabeth Line (Stratford).

Thatís great info thanks.

Which would you say easier to get to? Is there anything in it?

Weíll likely travel by car from south wales and then travel via tube from wherever we are.

We have stayed (most recently March this year) in the Hotel Shepardís bush , itís 5 min walk into Westfield. We stayed for the proximity to the television studios as we were seeing loose women lol.
Nice small hotel clean and has anything you needs. At the time we booked we paid £110 for the room.
