Went for Christmas in 2001, chilly at night but nice during the day.
May 2014 was awesome weather, only 1 afternoon of rain and Universal / IOA was quiet, a lot of rides were walk ons. Literally walked straight on to the front of Rip ride and rock it!
Going in October next year and hoping the weather is nice!

A few years ago I’d have said anytime between Labour day till the week before Thanksgiving but now between a Halloween and Christmas ticketed events sometimes tickets are not the value they once were
So now for us late October to first week Dec but we have Florida residents passes except Disney but for our Rare Disney fix a trip between mid jan to end of June with the Florida Residents Discover Disney ticket this year $194 +tax for 4 days valid till June 30th
But looking at the Ap price increases today don’t think this offer will
Continue for much longer it’s a really great option for us who love the other parks more but like an ocassional Disney fix

Only been at Easter, August and October. October by far the best for weather and crowds. Sadly we are stuck with August for Disney trips for a while due to kids, although I'm not against a sneaky week long trip in October for Universal and SeaWorld
