I upgraded my 14 day ticket to an annual pass last October at Disney Springs and it cost £592. I am going again in April and having two days in the parks and theN again in September for 14 days. Just the cost of tickets to the parks are covered by the cost of the annual pass then all the free parking and then 20% off all the disney merchandise I end up taking home for everyone. on top of this we thoroughly enjoyed the 20% of Joffreys coffee and snacks and if you buy treats in the big top souvenirs you also get 20% off those. I plan to use it to buy MNSSHP party tickets for September as you also get discount on extra events and experiences.

It was actually cheaper for me to buy a 14 day ticket and get it bridged to a pass at Disney Springs, think they gave me over $550 value for it, but I’d only paid about $460 for it (bought it Jan 2018). So you could buy the 14 day ticket (get it direct from Disney if you intend to try this as reports I’d if you get it elsewhere they’ll only sometimes give you the wholesale price) and go ask about upgrading it when there, it’s then a purely mathematical exercise to go ahead or not. There’s some threads over in the DVC section about this, you won’t be eligible for the discount or Gold, but the rest of it is relevant to you.
That’s really interesting. I’m looking at upgrading to DVC gold in Aug and I’ve just bought my tickets from Klook and not Disney. It’s showing on MDE as a 14 day PDS special offer ticket. I wonder if that will impact on the base price that they’ll upgrade from? Anyone any idea what PDS stands for?
