Looks very underwhelming doesn’t it?

Small footprint, generic hotel. No services, small lobby.

Also the small rooms again. This is so they can market these as ‘You can get a week for x points’. The ones at Riviera are more points than a studio at Boardwalk- no thanks!

Give me the Grand Californian every time (well I think, never been but will review in summer!)

That is crazy about so many studios again but true about marketing it as "You can get a week for x amount of points." Disney Vacation Club started with Old Key West which are the largest villas and now the resorts accommodations get smaller.

I love the Disneyland hotel, and if it keeps to similar themes to that I would be very interested. The hotel it’s self looks quite bland from the outside, but the interiors are wonderful. Prue Disney Magic. And I’m happy to own at both Trader Sams.

The Grand Californian is beautifully themed inside but this looks soul-less and bound to be expensive too so I'd not buy there.

Will it have the same resale restrictions as Riviera?

It's just a tower addition to the Disneyland hotel, which is a horrible hotel on the outside built in the 50-60s and really shows it's age on its exterior.

I actually think this may smarten up the hotel overall, hope they are not building it where trader Sams is though, I loved chilling there by the firepits.

The Contrast between the Grand and the Disneyland hotels are huge, the GC is more like Wilderness Lodge, Disneyland a 1950s prefab hotel smartened up over the years but still just a basic set of square towers.

I can guarantee the points chart will be, erm, off the charts.

The restrictions won't matter so much in Califonia, people who buy there will want to stay there, and there is massive demand at the GC so I see the points per night being big and the cost per point being massive!

I managed to stay at the Grand Cali once, big points cost but worth it. Given that most stay at DLR for a few nights only, mostly studios make sense really.
