I personally think that a nice length for us young ladies in our mid to late 40s is shoulder length. Not too short and not too long. I think its more flattering if it is in a style rather than left to its own devices. Maybe cut/shaped round the face. Have you tried a Brazilian blow dry for the frizz?
I would try a Brazilian blow dry, get a good few inches cut off, a few layers to avoid the dreaded triangle look 👍

Cut round the face like this; this is how my hair is but mine is quite a few inches longer (but not to bra strap)

Brazilian blow dry is a keratin treatment and is excellent for frizz.

I have short hair ( and no I dont look ancient ) but I swear by kerastase . Its really nourishing and stopped the brittleness when I started peri menopause.
Perhaps a good trim then start with the shampoos , also look at your diet etc . Also If youve been unwell it tells in your hair months later. X

Is that what Jennifer Aniston had done and it wrecked her hair?
