Has anyone successfully got an AAP at Universal for IBD?

As title. I have read various reports of it being very difficult to get the AAP at Universal.

As anxiety is a main trigger for an Ibd flare up it isn't helping our run up to the holiday the consideration that we might be refused an AAP, which will be really embarrassing for my dear OH and cause him great anxiety and upset

I've never tried to get one at Universal, but would be interested to know if anyone has, or indeed how you get on if you apply. We usually stay on site, so I've never bothered in the past.

I'm concerned about this too. My son has an irritable bowel and bladder and we were hoping for an assistance pass... I've read that Universal are quite tricky though

We went in May 2017 and I got a pass at Universal for my ulcerative colitis. It was no problem at all. Hopefully nothing has changed

We always stay at HRH so get express in Orlando but last month we visited hollywood and used the DAS for my OHs Chrons disease, he does get it really bad.
There were no problems OH was so nervous he kept asking if he should show them his scar from his surgery but he was fine .. they issued no problem.
I do prefer the express passes though .. we always use them at Orlando and just book HHN+Express x

DS and his GF went recently with their friend who has crohns. He asked and was given both Disney and Universal passes with minimal questioning. Mind you, I think the fact a 25 year old Male braving asking told them it was a genuine issue!

I have anxiety and panic attacks, and I got the AAP when I went in February of this year.

It was super easy and the lady was lovely. I went to guest services on the right hand side just before the entrance of the Universal Studios side. I took paperwork with me from my recent CBT sessions proving I have GAD and Panic Disorder. However, they didn't ask to see this. I just explained that I have severe anxiety and panic attacks, that I had read about an assistance pass online and I wondered if I would be eligible for this as I really struggle with busy crowds such as queuing. She asked no questions and I was given the AAP along with my DH straight away

We just got back to the UK after our trip.

I am pleased to say that we had DAS pass and the AAP issued at both Disney and Universal.

It was easier to get at Disney, the lady asked us what assistance we needed in the queue line and then she took us to one side to explain the system in great detail and add the pass. Worked seamlessly and a fabulous system, we used in addition to FP and never waited more than 10 minutes to ride anything. My other half thoroughly enjoyed himself which he wouldn't have done if he had been worried about standing in queues all day. It was such a stark contrast to when we went to DLP and my poor OH was in a lot of discomfort and stress all day and ultimately it ruined his trip (we unfortunately did not know about the DAS pass back then).

At Universal the lady was a bit less discreet and empathetic, she fired some questions at my OH asking why he couldn't wait in line so he started to explain about how his bowel condition affects him - I don't think she wanted to hear the details so stopped him short and issued it quick
