Another dibber has posted on a different thread that Disney have added G+ to their onsite dining credit package without any problem at all. Hopefully other TAs will catch up soon.

I've dropped ATD an email (it's tricky to get free to phone them before 4pm) to see what the options are on our Ultimate tickets.

From dealing with ATD recently, I'm confident we'll be looked after ok though.

If you think you would've bought G+ on 11 days then, yes, it makes sense to buy this add-on for £98 (assuming you can).

And, of course, once you've bought that add-on then you may as well used G+ on every day you visit, even on days where you probably won't really need it. Even if it only saves you 5 minutes queuing at each ride, then you may as well use it if you've already bought it.

I did manage to get through to ATD earlier, and they informed me I cannot add Genie+ to my existing ultimate ticket until I am in Florida (presumably on a daily basis) as I am going at the end of 2021 not in 2022? I would be very interested to hear if others have the same feedback.

Just successfully added Genie+ to our WDTC booking for next May,

Booked earlier this year, our package for 3 of us is:
  • 7 Night POFQ River View
  • 14 Day Ultimate park tickets
  • $460-odd room dining credit
  • $200 gift card
  • Welcome celebration basket
  • Virgin Atlantic flights

Not being able to add Genie+ either via the website or the MDE app and on the basis that others have been able to add on G+ via a phone call, i tried my luck.

Sure enough, 3x 14day Genie+ booked and added to our 14 day ultimate tickets at £6.99 per person, per day. It probably would have worked out slightly cheaper (but not much) buying each of the 8 days were are going to be there, but happier paying now to not have to worry about it on the day, every day.

This is the fourth time we’ve contacted WDTC by phone to amend out booking for this trip (first time to move from CBR to POFQ, second to convert our 7 day tix to 14 day as we are there 8 days, not 7, third to ask for our VA flight code to book plane seats and lastly for G+). This is on top of the no-quibble refund in 2020 for our room+tickets booking when the pandemic forced cancellation. Every single time, WDTC have been brilliant in sorting everything we’ve asked for there and then on the phone - they’re far from the cheapest way to do WDW, but hats off to them for their customer service.

I’ve just had an email from ATD saying I can add Genie+ to our Ultimate tickets, which are part of the dining credit and gift card package for 2022, for £100.

I’ve told them I’d like to proceed so I’ll will let you know if it’s successful.

Virgin holidays have told me I can’t add on Genie+ without losing dining credit as I’m staying onsite. Advice given is to add it when arrive at Disneys ticket window

Interesting to see how some TAs are adding it without loss of the dining credit offer, and others are saying they can't. I suspect there's some laziness/ignorance going on as it clearly can be done.

ATD upgraded our Ultimate tickets to Magic Tickets - £20 each. We had Flex Plus on the Ultimate tickets. Adding Genie+ for every day made it £100 per ticket.

Biggest bonus - 18 days to use 14 days instead of the 14 day window. For our 3 week trip this has basically paid for itself because it means we didn't need to book a single park visit in the first week (who'd want to wait a week or not have any Disney in the last week? ).
