Video camera recommendations?

Very excited to have booked to go back next year after previous trips in 2009, 2012 and 2015! Anyway, I've been looking at the videos I made on previous trips and I'm thinking about investing in a new video camera.

Ideally I want something small, i.e. not much bigger than a mobile phone. (I thought about just using my mobile but didn't want to run down the battery in case I need it for other things.)

Looking at the footage from previous years I really could do with some sort of image stabilization! And something that works relatively well in low light conditions too.

Would really like it to run of AA batteries (or similar) so I have the option of carrying spares so I can change them part way through the day if necessary. Although I suppose I could get a power bank if it charges through USB instead.

Any suggestions or recommendations?

Thanks.

Most people buy one of the very good compacts nowadays with great video capabilities built in. Many have 4k and stabilisation, and very long zooms.
I have Panasonic LX100 (they recently brought out a new version) which shot this -

Got some extra batteries from Amazon.

I use a Sony Camcorder. Never let me down.

I bought a DJI Osmo pocket as that has a gimbal so smooth footage. You can buy fuel rods at Disney but better to buy your own power bank and use that.

This is great quality footage- did you use a separate microphone or is this just through the camera?
