Just to update everyone, I got a reply back from Disney. They couldn't veruify the valifdity of my tickets from the photos I sent through, due to the age of the tickets, but have assured me if there are days left on my ticket then they will be honoured.

Nice one Disney, good for your word all those years ago.

Still don't know if the kids will fancy it or not. It'll still be £800 to get tickets for the rest of the gang for a couple of days.

Hi do you have the email I could send pictures of tickets too. Please, I still have days on photo tickets when my girls were about 12 they are now 38 years old, I believe they only did it for a short time.

Does this work with recently bought tickets? Probably sounds like a daft question, but we are spending 12 nights at OKW this summer and have the 6 parks 14 days for the price of 7 included in our package. We are back in Orlando next summer, but only planning on doing Universal to keep costs down. Would we in theory have 2 days worth of Disney tickets to use? Don’t know how this would work without a physical ticket. Would we just need our Magic Bands? Sorry to jump on the thread!

Unfortunately not. They expire 15 days after your first use, regardless of how many times they've been used. It's only the old style non-expiry ones that can still be used for subsequent visits. You'll need to buy new tickets for any future visits.

Thanks. Thought it seemed too good to be true! It's good that they are honoring it for old tickets though.

They used to allow you to upgrade to non-expiry for a small sum unfortunately the "small sum" kept getting bigger & bigger to the point it was only just under the cost of a new pass thus guests stopped paying for it, which was probably their plan in the first place. We used to work it that we would buy more than we need every other year & then buy a smaller pass on the in between visits

Last year I used a free ticket from Universal that we go when the parks shut early due to a hurricane. They even upgraded it to a 2 park pass. I contacted them on twitter before I went just to make sure

The best deal was paying for 10 day tickets adding non expiry for $50 and another $50 for waterparks. It got you 10 waterpark visits at $5 each. We only used 5 park days a trip and then had water park tickets we used for years and just bought base tickets.
