We’ve driven to Clearwater and back in a day on previous trips. Has anyone done Sarasota in a day? Want to visit somewhere different but not sure if that would be feasible.

Hi, there’s six of us, 4 adults and 2 kids (13 and 9). We are staying onsite at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Two hours not too bad. Me and my husband both driving so we can share the journey!

Depending on what the kids like this is worth a visit mote/aquarium but places like Holmes Beach Bradenton Beach etc are 30 minutes from Downtown Sarasota they are gorgeous and very quiet.
If you want a bit of Americana on the way back fullbellystuffedburgers/ is just next to the i75 which you will be travelling back up on the way to Orlando... I have nothing to do with any of these places or businesses' I have family in Ellenton and know the area well

Well worth the drive to get a taste of the Gulf Coast.
