Booking now and getting free Disney dining when released (newbie )
Bear with me... I'm intent on booking a trip of a lifetime for my tween boys for next summer 2020.
As they have started eating us out of house and home I am keen to get the free Disney dining package. Thinking of splashing out and going for a Deluxe resort (Beach Club?) that will include one waiter service a day. Quote I've had for Beach club is £7,666 for 5 sleeper (2 queen beds and a pullout so we can all get some sleep) and park tickets for 2 weeks. Flights would be extra. The confusing bit is that they say you can book now with a deposit then when the Dining offer becomes available on 25th April, they can add this in. However, i don't think this is guaranteed and would be in a first come first served basis. They were very vague to be honest. Am I best waiting for the dining offer to be released on 25th and trying to book then? Apologies for the long first post! Any help gladly welcomed... its a minefield! X |

Welcome to the dibb!
I think what happens is that the travel agent takes your booking and then books it on the 25th when dining is released. So yes you're taking a gamble that what you want might not be available. I've only ever booked a disney stay direct with disney but I'm sure others who have used third parties will be along soon to advise! PS sounds like an amazing trip you have in mind

Thank you! Yes, I am wondering if there is much point as prices direct with Disney were very similar. I just thought that the travel companies might be able to book free dining now but it seemed strange if you can't book with Disney yet x

Hi no one can book now and get free dining, as disney havent released it yet, there were issues last year with Virgin who took bookings but couldnt then fulfil them, if you book now you wont get free dining so i would hold off until the 25th.

Well, we've taken the gamble and booked! So, I'll let you know if it all works out. As you said, I think the travel agents will try to book on 25th. They say we can get a full deposit refund if it doesn't work out... fingers crossed!

Still waiting for confirmation... nerve wracking! I can't see any availability on Disney for what we wanted so could be back to square one
