My DD and her boyfriend have just come back from Costa Rica and loved it. They did AI but spent several days out of the hotels on trips. They saw lots of wildlife, rain forests, hot springs, waterfalls etc. They chatted to a british independent travel agent whilst there who had been all over the world, she recommended Vietnam for their, said it was one of their favourite places.

Costa Rica looks good but the brochures don't mention day trips so I'd be interested to hear what they did.
My Mum has just cone back off a cruise ( 3 months) where she visited Vuetnam but was none too impressed and thought ut was filthy, likewise with India. She loved everywhere else, Papya New Guinea, Japan, Sri Lanka to name a few.

She is away at the moment so I can't ask her details, but I know they did one Tui trip and the rest they booked locally from companies they had researched before they went. When she comes home I can ask her for more details. If I haven't come back to you by Wednesday, just pm me to jog my memory. What I can say is she had lots of photos of gorgeous places.
She fancies Japan too.

There seem to be soooo many amazing ideas. Some I think we'll do when it's just the 2 of us purely down to cost as we like to travel PE due to the fact we are all tall (6ft plus) and some of these destinations are extortionate to fly to in PE.
We are still restricted to sch holidays and prefer to go away in the summer so obviously that is a factor too with rainy season etc.
S Africa sounds amazing but the summer temps aren't great , I need heat as it helps with a condition I have so for now that is out too.
However I do appreciate all your ideas so please keep them coming.
Thank you
