As an example then, Lhr to NYC, business out economy back (which is less than 70k avios) is going to be worth £6500 once you factor in the cash outlay of around £500. Or pay for another 5000 for £80 and you can come back in WT+.
I stand by what I said before. I think that’s a good deal, more so if they bumped you up to First and paid for you to stay in the Cosmopolitan (hopefully this hasn’t caused you a problem workwise). Sounds like you were really unlucky on this flight. I’ve flown with BA around 200 times and worst I’ve had is a 4 hour delay. It does seem like they’ve tried to compensate fairly here. Hope you got back ok. |
