Coronado Springs - thoughts on view of Gran Destino Tower

Hi all,

We have finally narrowed down our potential hotels to two for next year; Coronado and Pop.

Obviously both have their Pros and Cons but I wanted to know everyone's thoughts on the Gran Destino Tower?

Does it ruin the skyline? Is the tower a bit of an eye sore? Or does it not bother you?

We have just returned from our first trip and stay at Coronado Springs. We loved the resort, enjoyed our stay thoroughly and would have no hesitation in recommending it to others. The rooms have been beautifully renovated, the grounds are really well kept and the amenities and transport have served us very well.
But... the tower is absolutely hideous in my opinion. It's huge and ugly, and really does tower over the lake. From certain view points it certainly does ruin the skyline. It sticks out not only because it's so large and ugly, but because (colour coordination notwithstanding) it's not remotely in keeping with the rest of this beautifully understated resort.
That said, it didn't affect our stay in the slightest and I wouldn't hesitate to return to CSR, if not for the fact that I have an unwritten rule to never go back to the same hotel
