First Time going with kids help
Hey we are looking at booking for next year and taking our girls who will be 3 nearly 4 and 18 months. I have only ever been the DLP once on a hen do about 7 years ago me and my husband have only ever been the WDW.
Can any one help us with do's and dont's with kids this age whilst there and travelling also any recommendations for anything whilst we are there? We still have to book yet i am not sure when best time would be. Thanks for all your help

Ok, my tips would be...
When to go - if you avoid school holidays, bank holidays and weekends you should be fine. Google UK and French school and public holidays, and maybe also Germany, Belgium and Spain, and avoid these dates. The first half of May and early October are usually good options for crowds/weather. For first visits in particular I think you're best with an onsite hotel, booked direct with Disney. If you'd like access to a pool then Sequoia Lodge is my favourite and if not then I love the Cheyenne. Depending on where you live I would always recommend Eurostar for transport first of all. Direct trains are generally released around 9 months ahead and prices start at around £72 return for an adult. You can also go indirect via Lille and these tickets are released 90 days ahead usually (although they are already out for dates up to September). You might also want to consider getting the ferry and driving. It's an easy 3 hour journey from Calais and makes it easier to transport luggage and other things needed for small children. Hopefully that's enough information to get you started! |
