The simplest way is to look up the port you're interested in sailing from (I'm presuming Port Canaveral - at portcanaveral/Cruise...ines-Schedules), work out who you'd like to cruise with from the 4 main lines and their schedules, and then just look up the website for your main choice(s), as they are likely to offer the best deal.

If a mod could move this to the cruise planning forum you'll get more responses I think!
Cruises in Florida tend to go from Port Canaveral, Fort Lauderdale or Miami. I've cruised from the two latter options. Are you a cruise newbie? Or do you know which line you want to go with? If you need steering in the right direction, let us know whos going and what you're looking for in terms of length, destination and price and I'm sure we can throw some ideas your way. |

We've cruised from Florida a couple of times - to East Caribbean with MSC from Miami, to Mexico and West Caribbean with Carnival from Tampa and from Miami with Carnival to Key West and Mexico.
You could look on a site called Seascanner, on which down the left hand side there is a very useful search filter where you can search cruises from any of the Florida ports, amongst other criteria you fancy. We've done this to find cruises, then we tend to look for that cruise on the cruiseline's own website. When cruising from Florida we've always had time on land in Florida either before or after too. It's a great use of holiday time for us, and we'd do it again for sure!

Although we've cruised three times from Florida we've always booked here in the UK. Never actually booked whilst in Florida but expert cruisers suggest that you get the best deals cost wise if you use the cruise line American web site and pay in $$.
We've cruised Carnival twice from Port Canaveral and Tampa. Princess once from Fort Lauderdale. Miami is also a good choice. Carnival was more informal than Princess but it really depends on how long you want and what ports are critical for you. We did Carnival back in 2005 and 2007 and it seems to have become known as a "party" ship now but it wasn't that noticeable back then. All the big players cruise from Florida apart from the two I've mentioned there's Celebrity, Norwegian, MSC, Holland America, RCI and, of course, the mouse. As Squish says though maybe Mods could move the thread. Mick

Take a look at Cruise Circle as it has quite a good search function. Select Tampa or Port Canaveral & the date range you are interested in & see what comes up. If you see something you like have a shop around for the best prices. We’ve booked with a couple of US travel agents, Thomas Cook & Cruise Kings so far - all at the cheapest we could find at the time.
Good luck Les

The best thing to do is go onto Vacations 2 Go and find the cruise you want to do and try and plan your trip around that.
They have just priced up a cruise for me with a balcony cabin for the same price UK operators are charging for an inside cabin. |

Would your U.K. travel and nsurance provider cover you for a booking made overseas ? Also do they charge a supplement for cruises ?
