Is this ‘Disney amendment’ info correct?
Hi, I am looking to start planning our 2020 trip! (Just need to pay our October trip off first lol)
Ideally what I want is 1 week onsite with dining plan then 2 weeks villa with car hire.. I am looking into package vs DIY.. I just wanted to make sure I had the ‘amendment’ side of booking Disney correct.. If I decide diy and book our week Disney on-site stay when free dining is released.. I want to be flexible with dates/ duration etc so.. if I book say 12 nights for 1 room & 1 person.. this will be £50 deposit? Can I then amend the duration to 7 nights (when dates are secured) and add on 3 ppl who will also get the free dining plan? Assuming that even tho the duration is shorter that adding on 3 ppl plus park tickets will increase the price so no amendment fee? Is this all correct? Can duration / no of ppl all be amended at any point? Sorry for the long post but just want to clarify this is correct xxxM Edited at 02:52 PM. |

It certainly used to be however it was explicit in the T&Cs that the amendment fee would be waived if the cost went up. Having checked them recently I can’t see anywhere that it says that so I couldn’t be as confident now. We have definitely had the fee waived in the past when we’ve increased the cost of the holiday though.

They don’t stick to the terms and waive the amendment fee. We ha whist had an issue with this. Our holiday pice has gone up but they have still charged the amendment fee and won’t budge on this!

Do you not run the risk of not getting a room big enough for all the party if they sell out? Surely Disney would have found a way to close this loophole?
