First time booking with Disney Direct
Hello
Sorry if these are stupid questions, I just need to be clear in my head ready for booking on Thursday. I will be booking a room for myself, DH and DD and will need to book a second room for my Mother in law (no way can I share a room with her! ) I will book ours first using my email address. Do you think it will be an issue to book her room with my email address also, and pay with my card but put her name on the booking!? Will her gift card and dining credits be on her room or will I be in charge of both!? Once booked I'm guessing I can contact them to request rooms near each other? Looking at POFQ if the rooms re-appear again! |

I don't know about credit card or gift cards but when I book for my family it's in their names but my email and often my home address.

For the bookings, you will have to book your room with your email address, and then I believe you will need a separate email address for your MIL's room as it's a different booking (and therefore will be a different account). However, you can have control over this email address so you can 'take charge' of the booking. For example, we have 9 of us, three rooms, three bookings, all email addresses are mine The room will need to be in your MIL's name though. But again, you can pay and there's no issue with addresses/billing addresses etc. On your room booking, you will have 3 lots of dining credits for you, your husband and your daughter and one gift card. On your MIL's room booking, you will just have her dining credits and another gift card. When you book, you will be given a booking reference for each of your rooms which, along with the last name on the booking, will be your key to setting everything up on My Disney Experience. You can also use this to 'link' your bookings together (so can book FPs together). Disney will also see that your accounts are linked and will thus be more inclined to give you rooms that are close together. Hoping that all that info is current. That's how I did it when we booked last year and we are all good to go. |

Oooh also, if you're booking with Disney Direct make sure you get cashback for BOTH of your bookings! It's too much money off not to get it!

So I did this when I booked a room for my in laws - both bookings have my postal and email address but I linked one code to their MDE and one to mine. Then I made sure we were all connected friends so I could make their ADRs and fastpasses but that they saw their room charges etc on the app when we went. It was very easy. Hope that helps!
