Manchester fast track security

Flying next week and I am toying with booking this. Any recent experiences? Is it worth doing? We’re on the 9.55 and most likely will have done twilight check in so no bags to sort.

We found it useful a couple of years back. Saved us some decent time as airport was busy. It's pretty cheap as well

We had it free with a booking...found the fast lane was closed..!?... so went down the normal lane, got to the part where they check the boarding passes then they noticed we were fast and put us into the fast lane at that point
We then got stuck behind "that family"... and took forever to get through

Just our luck on the day I guess...wasn't that busy and this was at around 9am on a Wednesday

Last few times I’ve flown from Manchester it has been really busy. However, that was during school holidays. We literally got through security and then had to go to the gate. If you like a mooch around, breakfast etc. then for peace of mind it might be worth getting.

Last few times out of MAN, we have been business and so fast tracked as part of that package - oh how I laughed when the other lines moved faster.
They put all pushchairs and wheelchairs etc through the fast track line and there were at least 3 of those ahead of us. By the nature of travelling needing those items, there is a lot of extra hand luggage as well. We were in no rush but it was frustrating all the same.
Also, MAN seems to be “randomly” manually checking more hand luggage at the moment and this seems to take them forever to do.

We’re flying UC this time but I might check the lines and duck out to a regular line if I can should it be shorter.

If you pre order items from world duty free and spend over £20 you get 2 free fast track security tickets.

Do it. We flew to Gran Canaria last year from Manchester and will never go from there again. The security was a bloody disaster and people were moaning all over the shop.

In all the trips we've done, security has take 20 minutes max. I wouldn't bother.

it is v hard to predict. We have bought it and then found it was probably a waste of money but on other occasions not done so and massively regretted it. On balance i would go for it - we are certainly going to do so in June.
