Back home in the North East now (having landed at Manchester at 7am today) and still buzzing that we saw it!

We left immediately after the sonic booms/ boosters landing (having strategically parked in the nearest spot to the exit of the car park) The drive south towards Satellite Beach to pick up the 518/I95 South was busy but free flowing - and not as busy as going North past the cruise port back to Orlando the day before. We arrived at our Fort Lauderdale Airport Hotel at 9.45pm (the last hour or so in the dark was the most busy and tiring but well worth it).

Some extra info we found out over the few days.

The 401 along from the Cruise Port was closed to both cars parking on the grass verges and pedestrians - limited to permit holders only - which was employees/ officials linked to the launch (a local museum guide told us this was due to a fatal Road Traffic accident caused by driving chaos after the 2018 launch). This is a previously recommended spot on some of the links above.

The little museum on the 401 (Sands Space History Center/Air Force Space and Missile History Center) was open on launch day - though not always the case - and well worth a visit, the guide was amazing. It's free entry relying on donations and purchases in the gift shop. We bought a Falcon 9 Model kit!. It's also next to a control room for Spacex that has previously been used for launches - nice photo op.

Jetty Park reached capacity around 4pm each day (found out by following Port Canaveral on twitter).

The Spacex phone app was great for keeping up with the launch delays and building up the excitement as they were confirming the static fire tests, and moving out to the launch pad etc. in preparation (and quick to report confirmation of the scrub on 10 April).

Battery/ portable phone chargers essential to keep up with all the updates on launch day.
