Jilly and Willy's First. Meemee's 6th day 10

www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=351691
Holiday date 11/9/09 to 25/9/09

The cast

Me 52 years slightly OCD that tight I only breathe in.10th time to Disney.

Al.52 years my OH, driver and pathfinder

Meemee. Me mother 75 years, Ailments too many to mention. 6th time to Disney

Our Willy Me brother 50 years. Humpties double.Disney firsr timer

Jilly 50 yrs has rheumatoid athritus doesn't let it get her down. Disney first timer.

Everybody was up BRIGHT and early this morning!

Well I will rephrase that, everbody was up early.

Today THE PLAN is back to Animal Kingdom.

It rained while we were there last week.

We threw some tea and toast down and decided to get breakfast there.

Our Willy decided to have a bath before we set off!

We arrived just as it was opening, once again there were hundreds of buggies. (The offer must be still on).

Our Willy was moaning.

Apparently the tablets he took this morning said "must keep away from children".

Because of the queue to get in we used the Dibb tip and went through the Rainforest cafe.

It worked.

Then we saw it.

A tree sort of gyrating around a lamp post.

I put me glasses on and realised it was a woman on stilts dressed in leaves.
Her face was slathered in gold.

If you count 5 notches up you can just make out her face.

Cavorting with a lamp post at half past nine on a Monday morning.
You couldn't make it up! .

Where I live you could get tossed in jail for that kind of thing.

Anyway we headed straight for the Lion King.
We wanted normal.

A gentleman dressed as a lion belting out songs.

The spectators roaring like lions, snorting like warthogs and baying like girraffes.

Blokes dressed as monkeys bouncing all over the theatre.

Normal?

10 o clock Monday morning?

You've gotta hand it to em .
CRACKIN SHOW.

We headed on up to the Tusker House for breakfast the queue there was unbelievable.

We were all starving so we stopped at a little deli thing in Africa.

The menu was very limited, the staff were harrased and the queue was lengthening behind me.

For simplicity I ordered 5 burgers and chips.

I must have forgotten to pay me brain bill because I know that chips are crisps in America.

This exceedingly small burger was made from a synthetic gum infused with oxo and fat.
Placed between 2 pieces of highly seasoned cardboard.
Accompanied by a bag of Lays.
All for the princely sum of 8.99 plus tax.
The trouble with fast food is, you eat it fast.
Then it slows right down on the way to the stomach,
Then it hits the stomach and just parks there.
It then allows the fat the time to get off and apply for a permanent residents permit.

Still we did the typically British thing moaned like hell and then ate it,

Well we were hungry!

We wanted fast passes for the safari so I was elected to go and fetch them.
As the burger hadn't quite reached my stomach I decided to go on the COC.
The queues at the bank of fast pass machines were really long.
I felt a bit guilty getting off the COC.
So I sort of, limped up to the line.
Wouldn't you just know it my line was full of really nice, polite American people.
They insisted on letting me to the front because of my bad leg.
I kept on declining but they were really insistant.
So that meant I had to limp round the bloody park all day in case they saw me again.
Meemee was demanding to know how come I was limping so I told them my heel had split.

We did the safari.
The elephants were in the water its not often they do that.

I managed to hop round the Panganini trail.

Which was worth it to see these fellows.

We then made our way to the rapids.

Again because we had the COC we used the back passage.

They let us ride three times.

The CM explained if anybody came into the wheelchair queue he would have to off us.
It livened us all up we were wet through.

We walked down to Everest. Jilly and Al went on.
It is too high for me and our Willy was scared but wouldn't admit it.

We only took in half of the Nemo show.
Normally we like the shows but this one just wasn't our cuppa.

The last time we went on Its tough to be a bug, it was spoiled because of the ECVS jamming and the kids crying so we went on again.
I decided to watch it through the eyes of a child. (But nobody would lend me any).
Yes it is scary for little kids.
Since we were really hungry and Meemee was going on about my "split heel" we headed for the exit.

We also found the Sherbeth road exit (can always find it going but not coming home).

We called into the Golden Corraal for dinner.

Now I dont mind breakfast here but not dinner.

Not so much milk n honey, more milk n magnesia.

We rounded off the day with a couple of bottles of the 2.39 dollar wine.
Its a bit dry for Meemee so I slip a couple of sweetex in hers.
