Going in UK School Summer Holidays
After having just come back from our trip, we are wanting to go again, but realistically it will probably be 2021, which unfortunately means our eldest would have started school and will now have to pay the school holidays premium!
Not overly bothered about the price hike, more so the crowd levels... are they unbearable? and the heat? just come back and the temperature was regularly in the high 90's, even hit 109 one day! Obviously will have to expect the standard afternoon downpour too.

Crowd wise it usually eases off towards the end of August.

The end of August is not a bad time to go in regards to crowd levels because the American schools have returned. If your child's school returns back halfway through the first week in September that could reduce the price, one year my daughter's school returned back on the Thursday of the first week in Sept and we saved £1500 by flying back into the UK on the Wednesday rather than the weekend before.

With 2021 being anniversary year and what with GE, Tron and Guardians of the Galaxy, the crowd levels could be higher for the whole year.
Labour Day in usually when the usa school kids return. Disney332

UK kids still being on holiday is likely to have minimal effect on WDW crowds.
Orlando has around 95 million visitors a year. The UK amounts to just 1.5% of visitors (approx 1.3m) with numbers dropping. A mere drop in the ocean compared to the US, Canadian & South American visitors. |

Yep, Mid-end Aug better. We have to go end Jul/Start Aug next year to be back for exam results. Bit worried TBH but it's always busy anyway... and you just need to plan it well...which is fun!
Weather? V hot...and wet at times. Air con and pools for the heat. Shops and restaurants to get out of the rain. No problems! Edited at 07:47 PM. |

We are going on the 21st August this year and did similar in 2017, didn’t find it any busier than when we’d been later in September.
This year our son is going to miss the first few days of term but they released term dates late and brought them forward compared to last year. Play with dates as we find there’s a date where companies must flip from peak to off peak, usually around the 20th August and can be a saving of £1000 or more overall |
