Mobile Help choosing a stateroom on the Dream

Hi all,

We’ve sailed on DCL eight times, but only on the classic ships. After our third trip, we found our ideal location on both the Wonder & the Magic - deck 5, inside sideways rooms.

We love Deck 5 due to the exclusive feeling of having very few staterooms and not having to troll the long narrow corridors.

We also love the design of the inside room (feels more spacious to us) and I might be weird but I prefer the single roomier bathroom than the split bath situation.

Anyway, I’ve done lots of reading about the Dream rooms, and I think I’ve narrowed it down to either deck 2 or deck 9 (ideally I wanted one of the three inside rooms on Deck 10, but the few reviews I’ve read all talk about the noise of scraping chairs above). Probably midship so that we can easy access to the drinks machines.

Anyone have any recommendations? Oh - and we are a family of four, so room must have the pull down bed from the ceiling! 👍

I would try to book a Cat 8a. The really good ones with the wall divider only sleep 3, but the open plan ones sleep 4 and are MASSIVE! They are oceanview though, but worth the extra ...
Oversized/Open Plan Staterooms

There are eight with open floor plans. They are laid out as one big L-shaped living/sleeping room with no privacy curtain. In some cases there is a support pole running from floor to ceiling in the centre of the room. None have the split bathroom. there is no bath and instead there is a large square bathroom with a curtained shower area offering no barrier at floor level, so someone in a wheelchair can roll in.
The cabins are 5018, 5518, 6012, 6014 and 6016 (connecting, both have a pole), 6510, 6512 and 6514 (connecting, both have a pole).

I would defo avoid deck 10 as those scraping chairs and elephant feet thudding around really gets annoying. We like deck 2 and would choose that over deck 9. But decks 5 and 6 are even better if you can get a Cat 8a!
